Born out of a high school friendship in 2008, Soap Box Cleaners was founded on the notion that high-quality cleaning service should be accessible to anyone, not just the ultra-wealthy.

We’re San Francisco natives that care about our community, come to see us more than once and we’ll probably even remember your name. With this in mind, we’ve worked hard to provide best-in-class cleaning solutions at a price that won’t break the bank with exceptional customer service. Soap Box Cleaners cares deeply about how you look and that’s why every step of the process is managed in-house, instead of simply sending your garments off to a big-box washing facility.

Turn around for most cleaning is 2-3 days(not including Sundays).
Larger items such as comforters and bedding will take longer(up to a week).
You may put your cleaning into any sort of bags.
Your cleaning will return with one of our bags which you may keep.

1How does pick-up and delivery work?
Our pick-up and delivery service is simple, we pick-up or/and deliver between the hours of: 12:00PM-7:00PM, Monday-Friday and 12:00PM-4:00PM on Saturday. You may arrange this service by calling our store phone or use our website/mobile app(coming soon). *We ask for a two hour pickup/delivery window. *Turn-around is usually 2-3 days depending on how busy we get. We will notify you via telephone, email or text message when you cleaning is ready.
2What areas do you service for pick-up and delivery?
Our pick-up and delivery is based on zip codes. Currently we serve the following zip codes: 94102, 94103, 94108, 94109, 94110, 94114, 94115, 94116, 94117, 94118, 94121, 94122, 94123, 94127, 94129, 94131, 94132, and 94133. We will be adding more zip codes to our pick-up and delivery service in the future!
3Are there any additional costs for large items in Wash & Fold?
Most of your Wash & Fold is charged by the weight ($1.50/lb store, $1.60/lb delivery). However, there are items that are charged differently: • Comforter: $40 • Blanket: See Price List • Mat (bath or kitchen): See Price List We charge differently for these items is because they require washing and drying to be separated from the rest of your other wash and fold. Comforters, for example, take several hours just to dry.
4Can I hang dry garments?
Yes. We can hang dry up to 10 items per wash & fold order. (Any additional items we will charge $1.00/per item.)
5What type of detergent can I choose from?
Our current default detergent of choice is SA8 laundry detergent. It is a bio-degradable, hyper-allergenic, and non-scented. If there is a specific detergent you prefer to use, you may bring it in to us and we will use that every time we wash your order. (Default: We do not use any fabric softener.)
6Can I recycle hangers?
Absolutely. We are more than happy to recycle your wire hangers. Just hand them over to our driver when they pick-up or drop off your laundry or you can bring them into our store. Note: Please don’t put the hangers inside the same bag as your clothes as this can damage your garment bag and or clothing.
7Do you clean leather or wedding dress?
Unfortunately we do not offer that service at the moment. We may offer this in the near future.
8What are your hours and schedule on Holidays?
We will be closed on the following holidays. • President Day (February 18th 2019) • Memorial Day (May 27th 2019) • Independence Day (July 3rd - 4th 2019) • Labor Day (September 2rd 2019) • Thanksgiving Day (November 28th – Dec 1st 2019) • Christmas (December 24th – 25th 2019) • New Years (January 1st 2020) Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for being our loyal customers!
